Advice to cartoonists
If you have to spend more than two hours trying to make a line fit into a conversation, it probably doesn't belong there. No point climbing a rock that you can go around.

Hopefully, Spare Parts will be a bit smoother with that particular rock out of the way.

Heh. At the workplace of my second job (the non-computing one) there's a nightly tradition where I have to make a particular announcement over the tannoy system in a different voice each time, and sometimes I haveta spend half an hour or more trying out character voices that my voicebox can actually perform a decent impersonation of. I wonder if it's worth the hassle but it does brighten up the other employees' otherwise annoying night. Even though they insist on repeatedly quoting the line I used back to me.

So far this week I've been a Mysteron, Goofy, Commander Riker, the Incredible Hulk and Skeletor. Aren't I a versatile fellow? ^__^

But yeah, it's always nice if you can steer around the rocks. I could get past my own rock just by doing the announcement in my own voice with the exact same words each night and it'd still convey the message adequately to the workers. I guess I'm just a big soppy ham actor at heart!

i haven't seen you in forever :) don't know if you remember your pompano people but last time i saw you was at killians party about 3 years ago....looked up your comic, i have the business card somewhere still, found your lj, and just wanted to say hi and see what you were up to in life.

Um. In the archive pages of YSIF, "Previous" is misspelled as "Pervious." ^^;;;
